A Word From Would Be Record Maker

Mt. Everest has always been a source of inspiration to fascinate my life at difficult times. At this juncture of entering eighties, my intense desire is to pay homage to this magnificent Himalayan Peak. But I was in a loss to find proper way to express my gratitude. Just at this crucial moment SECEE Nepal approached me for a venture to scale the highest peak on Earth. And this mission of mine meant translating SECEE's commitment to establish senior citizen centre, world peace movement, intellectual shelter and others.

The feat touched my bottom of heart and welcomed the proposal immediately. Fortunately, my doctor found me medically fit to accept the challenge happily completing preliminaries including final six days trek to Goshaikunda 5300 metres (14-17 August 2008), 13 days Manang Thorang Pass to Beni trek ( 21Sept -3 Oct 2008) and prequalification test of successful climb on Island Peak over 6050 metres on 26 December 2008. Hopefully, this spring of 2010 brings my long cherished goal fulfilled and I am confident the dream must come true. Actually, my challenge starts after I successfully completing this mission as it opens wide the gate of serving aging senior citizens like myself. Myself being one of the founder of SECEE Nepal 2008, I fully acknowledge the importance of the programmes it has put forward and commit to identify myself with these ideals. As a dedicated political leadership cadre and diplomat, I enjoy to serve people at whatever capacity time spaced me and fully committed to set example of social service political personalities can offer after leaving the arena of active politics.
