Nepal's Mount Everest (8850 meters or 29035 ft) is the tallest Mountain on the earth. The Summit is called Sagarmatha in Nepal. The highest mountain was named Everest by Sir Andrew Waugh, the British Surveyor-general of India in honour of his predecessor Sir George. The majestic Mt. Everest was ultimately conquered by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa hailing from Nepal along with his New Zealander counterpart Edmund Hillary at 11:30 AM on May 29, 1953 via the South Col Route. Youngest boy and girl to climb Mt.Eversest are also from Nepal. A 16 years 14 days old Temba Tsheri Sherpa became the youngest person to scale Mount Everest on May 23, 2001. Likewise, a 15 years old Ming Kipa Sherpa became the youngest girl to set her foot on the top of Mt. Everest on May 22, 2003. None other than Pemba Dorje Sherpa from Nepal is the three times world record setter as the fastest person to climb the Mt. Everest in 2004. In the year of 2006, Nepal's Appa Sherpa is the person who has climbed the Mt. Everest 16 times the most, by breaking his own previous records...
